Increasing Domain Home Loan’s market share
Summary
Domain partnered with Lendi Group, an online mortgage platform to create Domain Home Loans (DHL), a tech-driven platform matching borrowers with lenders, analysing over thousands of loans to meet individual needs.
In 2022 and 2023, RBA had aggressively increased interest rates to curb rising inflation, Domain found an opportunity to leverage this topic of conversation to grow DHL’s market share, leveraging it’s large audience size (10 million MAU).
The goal is to increase the revenue of the home loan business faster than our major competitor (Realestate.com)
Problem
The challenge was that most Domain users are not aware that they are able to get a loan on the property marketplace platform.
Increasing Domain Home Loan’s Market Share
Solution
The solution was to provide value exchange and brand awareness to Domain users in order to increase the number of home loan settlements for the business.
This involved building new product and features to help users search for a property based on their borrowing power while having access to powerful calculators to assist with their property hunt.
Our dedicated home loan specialists will then get in touch with customers and support them in their home loan journey.
Outcome
The project was a major success as new sign ups increased by 184% for the quarter and revenue grew by 70% in 2022.
Increasing Funnel Conversion
Summary
Domain’s property report feature is a free-to-download information pack that provides customers with the property history and an estimated property price. This was designed to help customers arm themselves with knowledge of the property market.
Problem
While this feature is bringing thousands of leads each month for the business, a large percentage of leads are not ready to transact for a home loan and consequently led to a large % of funnel drop offs (>90%)
Increasing Funnel Conversion
Solution
Through research and data, a new funnel was created to identify customers with the highest intent for home loans and bucketing them into different stages of their property hunt journey.
The information was then fed back to our propensity models in order to rank users with the highest intent to get a home loan or to refinance an existing one.
Outcome
Brokers are now equipped with enriched information of the customers based on what they have done on the Domain platform along with the information provided in the funnel.
More importantly, this drove a 15% increase in high intent customers that Domain is able to engage with and decreased drop off rates by 20% for the year.
Increasing new sign ups for CareerTrackers
Summary
CareerTrackers is a non for profit business that helps indigenous people across Australia achieve their full potential from start to finish of their university degrees and into the workforce. Students are placed into internships through partnering companies such as Qantas, Google, LinkedIn, etc and are provided mentoring services to help shape their career.
Problem
The lengthy onboarding process resulted in a stagnant growth in internship placements (Major metric that drives revenue for the business).
Increasing new sign ups for CareerTrackers
Solution
Through a close partnership merging internal team members with our own development team, we’ve not only launched a scalable, messaging driven CRM and student APP, but elevated the internal team’s technical execution capabilities to automate and refine business processes that has been rolled out nationwide.
This included launching features such as inbox capabilities, automated tasks allocation and many others to help support the day to day duties of an Advisor at CareerTrackers.
Outcome
This initiative led to an 80% increase in response rate as there is a much simpler way to communicate any outstanding task required via one platform.
As a result, more indigenous students have been placed into partnering companies.
